Well... even though my plane (C185 Bush) hadn't been approved yet, the end of the month is coming nearer and nearer, so I started the run already (hopefully we'll be able to straighten this out later on). The first leg went pretty uneventful. The wind first blew in my face, but then it had mercy, and gave me a bit of a push towards the end:

The second leg was a bit more stressful. Once I made it over the first hump, all I saw was clouds. No peak, no terrain, no nothing... Once I got a bit closer to the peak, I could make it out somewhat, so that was a bit of a relief. After all, it would've been a bit embarrassing to run into that thing... Then, for the way back, lots of blind flying again through the clouds, but luckily no close calls.

Sorry, Kris... I didn't realize you weren't using the Bernt Stolle enhancement for the FSX 185, which were already in the database. I've added your numbers for the Carenado (non-Bernt) 185, so you should be able to put your name on the list.
Looks like we were running the first leg at the same time... our landing times were 6 minutes apart. I'm guessing by your screenshots and PIREP, that the clouds didn't improve at all a few hours later when you ran your second leg. I almost ran into the mountain myself twice, prevented only by the sudden appearance of diagonally sloping land out of the clouds a few inches in front of my windscreen - just enough time to bail over to the left and avoid the rocks. :^)

Otherwise we'd not only run into the MOUNTAIN, but also into EACH OTHER! Yeah, mine was a pretty white-knuckle ride too, straining my eyes to make out anything in the clouds that looked too solid. I even checked the weather forecast before takeoff, to see if there was any hope, but it didn't really look very promising, and since I just had a few hours available, I had to take my chance.

I was able to squeeze another two runs in today, so I guess the end of the month is no worry anymore! Leg 3 was the tricky one, where I couldn't really see the river in FSX (as discussed here), so I had to set up some crazy flightplan with a waypoint every mile or so, and spend more time looking at my GPS than at the scenery... The wind gods were nice to me, and I had a decent push most of the way:

The fourth leg was fairly uneventful, except for some crazy winds that were circling all around me, with speeds up to 15kts — sometimes good, sometimes not so...

So - last leg. Quick take-off from my little lake beach (only feet left between the water edge and my liftoff point), and then one straightforward round-trip. Decent weather, and good views made for a nice ending. Thank you so much, Jimmy, for setting this up! It was my first FS race, but will definitely not be my last!!! Very interesting choice of legs and challenges, and I never had a single boring moment.
