Yeah, lots of pretty serious ground fog happening on these legs. You cruise along at normal altitude, and everything looks cozy, and then you go down, and ready to land, and all of a sudden, you see nothing... I LOVE IT! Guess FS weather is doing a pretty good job on this race (just too bad there hasn't been any wind so far, but there should be some on the next legs, where we go higher).

Well I had my first Flight Simulator incident in a long time just a few minutes ago. Cruising along trying to make it through a tight spot in the mountains FSX crashed no me. By the error log it was caused by the A2A_Feel.dll Will be trying a gain in a few minutes. Attachments:

What a day I had my mind stuck on Dumb and thought this leg was limited to 1000'. Having flown it 3 times I knew I could get over it without busting the limit but suffering from a momentary lack of reason I crashed into the mountain side looking for the path threw the mountains under 1000. I will fly it at a later date but this puts me two trips that failed. fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=EfJgqi3zp2o9XjlnzCJi5OjaI

I will fly it at a later date but this puts me two trips that failed. Well, I wouldn't really count an FSX crash as a failed run (especially at the stage it happened for you). So, I'd say once you've recovered from this frustration, give it another shot, and use up your free "mulligan"... Oh, and I guess you are aware now, that the limit is 2,500? We couldn't bear to see more desperation like this... P.S. Just to avoid any misunderstanding — I'm not trying to make fun of your misfortune. But that path reminded me of a lot of situations I've been in before (and I'm sure lots of other FS and real-world pilots can recognize the situation as well). My first thinking when I saw your path was, "Oh yeah, I know how that feels..." I was actually thinking about basing a future race on some real-life scenarios like these, where pilots do occasionally get stuck in dead ends, or lose their bearing. (I love it when that happens to me, and I have to find my way out of the mess...)

At the start of this leg I had 29% fuel in my tanks. I pumped out the fuel in my fuel pod and put 54 lbs in each wing. Of course at the same time removing 108 lbs from the fuel pod. That gave 79% and I finished with 66% so I really did not need the extra fuel I was just never really sure if I could get there. Running flat out all the way. fs-duenna.com/flights/ShowFlight.php?detail=flight&value=Vh4OzoA3uVDaFBxQyQxpd1637cU Paul and I will have the BBQ going when you get here.
