Speaking of weather. I noticed, on my second run down to Stave Lake, that as I drove down from the mountains down the valley, there was a significant down draft. I was descending at more than 2000 fpm. I'm wondering now if that weather condition contributed to my ill-fated first run, where my wings came off. During that run I didn't notice the down draft, and at a certain point I did notice my excessive speed, and just as I was about to address that situation FSX killed me with an overstress!
