Well... you're really going for it, are you?! I'm still tweaking my C-130, to match the real-life performance a bit better, but I think I'm ready to join you soon! If, in the meantime, you want to give my customized 130J a spin, I've posted some performance info and a download link here.

After reading today on how you did it K, I decided to have yet ANOTHER go at it. Call it stubborness, idk...lol CONGRATULATIONS! I must say, I'm impressed by your persistence! Never give up, eh? And all that with 70kts crosswinds?! That is just madness! No idea how you pulled that off!!!

Got it down OK, but I was way too fast @40 kts w/reverse thrust and still skidded off the runway into fir...in short, came in too high and hot. Now if that runway was only about 100 feet longer... The CS Hercules can fly at 40kts??? (Or did you mean 140?) Mine (the PAD model) started dropping at about 110kts, so with my tweaks I was able to get it down to about 90kts, which is a more realistic range. And if you came in that slow, and still weren't able to stop it in time, then the brakes (and perhaps the revere thruster) were definitely under-dimensioned (as they seem to be in most FS planes). What I do with the C-130 if I come in too fast, is to start the reverse thruster before touchdown already (like they did in the aircraft carrier landings). But it seems in your situation the brakes were just too weak. I am still working on tuning the flight behavior of the C130J, trying to reproduce as realistically as I can the performance shown in many online videos (I got quite a collection by now...), but since all this is pretty new for me (and, to be honest, not much fun), it's rather slow progress.
