Up to a new round, and boy, what a tough start! Not so much the challenge of flying the plane, but just staying awake! I really nearly fell asleep at the end of the run, having to stare at the same picture, watching the same gauges for 45 minutes... I had some crazy winds at the beginning, that were shaking me in every direction possible, but once they calmed down, there was nothing to do but watch the river. Luckily, the next legs seem to be a real challenge — up and down, and through the mountains. Looking very much forward to tackling them!

I think FSX is trying to mess with me... Whenever I do a test run, I get nice tail wind, and then, as soon as I start a real one, the wind is blowing right in my face! I had 15kts headwinds pretty much for both runs; plus most of the area had major cloud cover, so I had to pretty much fly it blind. (And then, to top it all off, Duenna claims I only had 8 kts, whereas my wind gauge was giving me readings of at least 15 for most of the run!) But, well, I finished it in one piece, so that's at least something...
